Expression of Nisin Resistance and Regulation Genes in Lacticin 481 Producer Strain L. lactis subsp. lactis MBLL9

Özet

In this study, expression of nisin resistance (nisFEG ve nisI), regulation (nisRK) and regulation/ resistance (nisRKFEG) genes in lacticin 481 producer strain Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis MBLL9, was investigated. Lacticin 481 production levels for recombinant strains expressing nisFEG (LL175), nisI (LL176), nisRK (LL177), nisRKFEG (LL178) genes and control strain (MBLL9) were determined as 80.000 AU L-1, 80.000 AU L-1, 40.000 AU L-1, 40.000 AU L-1 and 80.000 AU L-1, respectively. Nisin resistance levels in recombinant LL175, LL176 and LL178 strains were increased to 300 IU mL(-1), 350 IU mL(-1) and 500 IU mL(-1)levels, respectively, however it was decreased to 100 IU mL(-1) in recombinant strain LL177.
