This study was carried out to investigate the possible use of first carbonation sludge from the sugar industry in layer diets. 324 Babcock B-300 hens were used. Ground marble was replaced in the experimental diets by the sludge to provide the calcium requirements at the rates of 0, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100%, respectively.
