Cover Crop Rollers

Abstract

Cover crops are terminated using sickle bar movers and disc mowers, flail mowing, undercutting V-blade field cultivators, and cover crop

rollers that crimp the cover crops and mulch them on the soil surface. The cover crop rollers consist of a drum which is structurally supported at

both ends of the roof side edges. There are moldings or blind blades on the roller. There are various types of moldings such as straight, curved

blade, sine wave shaped blade, square or triangular wave shaped blades moldings which are parallel to each other and horizontally. The weight of

the roller, lifting mechanism and forward speed are effective on the termination of the cover crops. In this article, the information were given

about usage purposeses, types, structural properties and work quality of the crop cover rollers.
