Özet

The intensity of the conditioning regimens whether myeloablative or non myeloablative are as the same as they are in the full match allogeneic transplantations and even, the drugs are the same for both transplantation types. The advances in the haploidentical HSCT is mostly the result of the usage of post transplantation cyclophosphamide (PT-CY) as GVHD prophylaxis. At first PT-CY was used only in haplo setting however, today many centers use PT-CY as GVHD prophylaxis even in full match allogeneic transplantations. Apart from the intensity, the conditioning regimens have different effects on every organ and systems. Although there are many reports about the toxicity of the conditioning including risk of infections in full match allogeneic HSCT, there are only few reports evaluating the toxicity of conditioning regimens in haploidentical transplantations and toxicity of PT-Cy. In this chapter, we summarize the literature about the toxicity of conditioning regimens and prevention of the toxicities after haploidentical HSCT. The toxicity of the conditioning regimens do not seem to differ in full match and haploidentical HSCTs.
