© 2016 by Türkiye Klinikleri.Caudal regression syndrome (CRS) is characterized by a group of heterogeneous anomalies involving the distal spinal cord and vertebral column, genitourinary system, hind gut and limbs. Following the caudal agenesis, caudal fold and cloacal membrane development will slow down and urogenital and anorectal malformations will occur. Renal agenesis, horseshoe kidney, ureteral duplication, bladder extrophy, hypospadias, cryptorchidism, rectovaginal fistula, intestinal malrotation, the inguinal hernia, imperforate anus may be associated with CRS. CRS can mold asymptomatic until later in life and can be identified as incidental despite symptoms usually appear early in life. Caudal regression of the patients should be examined in terms of other system abnormalities. This case report presents a patient with sacral agenesis and non-symptomatic horseshoe kidney who has low back pain to take attention for CRS.
