Abstract

10 patients with maxillary and mandibular cancer were examined by total skeletal scanning and roentgenography, and the pathologic findings were compared. Acid phosphatase levels were also taken. It is considered that bone scanning done with 99m Tc-pyrophosphate is the best method to evaluate bone cancers and their metastases. When compared with roentgenography, the results of scanning are much more satisfactory.
