The survival and sustainability of livestock enterprises depend on obtaining healthy and fertile offspring from breeding females. Mainly, the continuity of an enterprise depends on the number of animals brought up to the age when the offspring are born until weaning, that is, when they can get fed on their own and do not need outside support. For this reason, it is important for sustainable animal husbandry that there is no loss in the period between the moment of fertilization, the birth of the offspring, and weaning.In this section, information will be given about issues such as care and feeding during pregnancy in ruminants and the management and breeding practices that should be done at birth for sustainable animal husbandry.
