The aim of this study was to determine somatic cell content of milk and its relationships with milk yield, fat percent and some udder measurements in goats. Milk samples were collected twice at evening and morning milking with 30 days intervals between June and September. Mean somatic cell counts (SCC) values were found to be 3,183,355 and 3,714,311 cells per oil, for morning and evening respectively. Mean SCC were found significantly different between evening and morning milk for all sampling times. There were no differences between the first three sampling periods, but there was a significant difference between the fourth measurement and the other ones. A negative relationship was found between milk yield and SCC. A significant relationship was also found between SCC value and fat percent in morning milk.
