Özet

© 2020 IEEE.In this study, information is given regarding wave energy, its potential and the processes of converting it into electrical energy. Detailed information on wave energy converter systems and how they work is also included in the study. Although wave converter energy systems are not as popular as wind and solar energy systems, they are strong and feasible alternative renewable energy sources. In the literature, there are various wave energy conversion systems, which are classified according to their usage areas and movements of the energy generator. The technologies of wave-based energy conversion systems are developing day by day and the prevalence of users is increasing due to the increase of trust in these systems. In locations close to coasts, where the cost of establishing electrical infrastructure is high, wave energy is one of the most suitable edible energy sources. Turkey is suitable for wave energy due to its location and potential. Additionally, in this study, the wave energy potential of the Çanakkale Strait was calculated and analyzed in light of various assumptions.
