The purpose of this study was to investigate bronchus-associated
lymphoid tissue (BALT) in Angora goats at light and electron microscopic
levels.
In this study, the samples of tissue taken from lung oll O healthy, 5-6 month-old
Angora goats were used as material.
it has been observed that the bronchus-associated lymphoid tissue of'Ango]'(l
goats were formed by solitary lymphoid follicles and follicle-associated epithelium
(FAE) which covered these follicles, lt has been seen that FAE wasfcJrmed by ciliated cells and cuboidal lymphoepithelial cells but no goblet cells, Lymphoepithelial cells were closely arranged lymphocytes, macrophages, and polymorph
nuclear leukocytes
