Özet

In this work, a chemometric factor analysis (FA) with varimax rotation technique was proposed to identify a nanofilm on the mercaptophenyl-modified Au electrode (MP-Au) system. Factor analysis named as "eigen" analysis is a method based on the reduction of data set of n variables to a specified number, p, of factors (or fewer linear combination variables) to define the structure of a data set or to identify the nanofilm structures. In the study, three parallel surface modifications were carried out to obtain a nano MP-FILM on the gold surface consisting of Au-MP. For three parallel experiments, the FT-IR spectra of mercaptophenyl diazonium salt (MP-DAS) and the surfaces of bare Au electrode (Au) and mercaptophenyl-modified Au electrode (Au-MP) with their corresponding MP-FILM spectra were obtained. FA method was applied to the data matrix of the IR spectra of the MP-DAS, Au electrode, Au-MP and MP-FILM to obtain the loadings factors. The rotated loadings factors obtained by applying the varimax rotation technique to the above loadings factors were used to explore the existence of the MP-FILM on the Au-MP surfaces. Three-dimensional (3D) bar representation of the rotated two factor loadings and their two-dimensional (2D) plots provided by FA method with the varimax rotation technique demonstrates the existence of the MP nanofilnns on three parallel MP modified Au-electrode surfaces. As a consequence, the FA method with varimax rotation technique may be considered to be mathematical microscopic approach to describe the nanofilm structures on the modified electrode systems.
