Özet

Colonial thought and knowledge of power have an important place in the discipline of public administration, where debates over the origin and universal principles of administration are taking place. In this context, the science of colonial administration and its practice can be considered one of the major factors in the training of public officials. This study examines the evolution of the training school for French colonial administrators, which was founded in France in 1885 as Cambodia School to be later named Colonial School. Afterward, the school was transformed into the National School of Overseas France, the Overseas Institute of Higher Education and the school International Institute of Public Administration (IIAP), respectively. In 2002, the school merged with the National School of Administration (ENA). In the article, the school is identified as one of the main tools of establishing a colonial ruling class.
