During the early 1930s, there was a revival in the Turkish-Bulgarian relations in areas such as culture, art, education and sports. The educational relations of the two country can be collected under a main topic; the mutual visits of teachers and academic members. The basis of this friendly contact is the willing of recognizing the century-old neighbour, examining the innovations in educational and social life, and also improving the friendship. The peak of the activities was the scientific Istanbul, Bursa and Edirne visit of 81 Bulgarian history and geography teachers under the company of chief inspectors, academic members and a congressman between 27th April - 11th May 1932. Bulgarian educators coming from the four corners of Bulgaria have visited tens of schools and museums during their two-week Turkey visit. Also they have contacted with their Turkish colleagues and make some observations related to the education system, socio-economic conditions and social tendencies of Turkey. In this study, by the help of both the memoirs and reports of some teachers attended to the visit and archive information with national and local newspapers, Edirne, where they have spent their one night and day during the way back to Bulgaria, visit of Bulgarian educators is examined and their impressions related with this border town was emphasized.
