Özet

This study presents a theoretical and experimental investigation of DC offset and I/Q imbalance impairments in direct conversion (zero-IF) transceiver architectures. It first analytically demonstrates that the two distinct components of these impairments, arising from receiver and transmitter hardware imperfections, affect the desired signal band differently. This distinction is then validated with experimental data obtained using the AD9363-based ADALM-PLUTO software-defined radio platform. Furthermore, the effects of the integrated correction properties in this platform on the received signal band are examined, demonstrating that these methods suppress only receiver-originated impairment components. Although DC offset and I/Q imbalance have been extensively studied in the literature, the separate experimental analysis of their components originating from both the receiver and transmitter has received limited attention. In this regard, the study contributes to the literature.
