Tissue sagging, wrinkles and volume losses that occur on the face with advancing age do not fit in with today's aesthetic perception. Therefore, the popularity of all kinds of applications for fa cial aesthetics is increasing. Among all the applications, both patients and physicians prefer minimally invasive procedures that provide fast results, which have short procedure time and low complication rates. Thread lifting applications are among the applications that have been used frequently in recent years instead of conventional surgical facelift operations. Although the effectiveness of the treatment, the preservation of treatment results, and patient satisfaction are improved day by day with developing technology and new research, the existing literature supports that this procedure cannot be an alternative to conventional rhytidectomy. When thread lifting applications are performed by an experienced surgeon with the right indications, in the appropriate patient group, taking the necessary precautions, choosing the right material and method, the application time is relatively short, the results are satisfactory, and the complication rate is relatively low. However, more nonbiased and long-term follow-up studies are needed regarding this procedure.
