Özet

Background/Problem Statement: Defining aggression seems simple. All of us know what constitutes an aggressive behavior. But scientific aggreement on a basic definition has been difficult to achieve. Aggression can be defined simply as the behavior that injures others. Many theories have been developed to explain aggressive behavior in humans and other species. According to Freud human behavior is motivated by sexual and aggressive drives or instincts. According to Bandura aggression is learned in two basic ways: (a) by observing aggressive models, (b) by receiving pay-offs following aggression. Social cognitive theory was based on the models of human cognition which had been elaborated by information processing theorists. Family relations are important regarding aggression. Research findings stated that parent attitudes and the quality of family relations are closely connected with children's aggressive behavior.
