Özet

In this research, the effect of chicken manure on some haematological indices and the state of health of carp was investigated. Chicken manure was applied in a liquid form and daily, 500 kg/ha. Leucocyte, trombocyte counts, haemoglobin content and hematocrit value were determined in a group of ponds: pellets with 45% raw protein (Group I), fertilized (Group II). fertilized and pellets with 27% raw protein (Group III), and pellets with 27% raw protein (Group IV). Haematological characteristics of all the fish tested from the ponds were within the normal values in all of the experimental groups. Also, some gill and skin parasites were determined with respect to state of health. Parasites which were identified as Dactylogyrus did not indicate any unfavourable effects on the health of carps. © TÜBITAK.
