Abstract

A high pressure liquid chromatographic method on reversed phase was used to quantify ascorbic acid in the fruits of some Turkish Rosa species. The ascorbic acid content was estimated as 0.15% for R. gallica, 0.36% for R. micrantha, 0.37% for R. horrida, 0.51% for R. agrestis, 1.14% for R. pulverulenta, 1.15% for R. montana ssp. woronowii and 1.25% for R. dumalis var. boissieri.
