Abstract
4 cases from 2 sibships containing 19 children from 2 related consanguineous marriages are presented and results of clinical, audiological and genetic analyses are given. It has been suggested that the condition is due to an autosomal recessive gene causing early progressive deafness with no associated clinical, biochemical and karyological abnormalities.
