The history of the relationship between truth and politics are quite old and complicated. In contemporary world, truth, similar to falsehood, is a factor used in the appropriate form and as needed in the struggles of different parties and in the power/domination process. Therefore, its relationship with politics in particular is flexible and depends on circumstances. This feature of politics has become a constructive element for the protection and maintenance of power/domination in modern democratic societies. Actors of the scientific field, who are accoutered with specific, different and scientific background, manipulate this element. Neoliberalism, which is the dominant hegemonic narrative of present-day, aims to govern thoughts and behaviors in an organized and continuous way and it is constructed on such understanding. Strong impact and wide-ranging of this ongoing understanding has led to negative consequences in politics and democracy practices.
