Özet

Wine is one of the products, where it could not be decided if it is hazardous or not to human health. There is a general belief that consumption of wine migth be useful for the health of the human being and particullarly for coronary artery disease. With this review article different epidemiological and laboratory studies have been reviewed and different statements of researchers interested in this field displayed. Most epidemiological and laboratory studies recommend moderate consumption of wine to lower mortality of coronary heart disease. But before the consumption of wine for health purpose is recommended in a country; the social and cultural properties and the health indicators of this country must be taken into consideration.
