Özet

Probiotics are used as performance enhancing agents, and might also be used as a prophylaxis against enteritis. The use of probiotics also has a positive effect upon feed utilization. Probiotics can also physically compete with undesirable bacteria for the intestinal attachment sites and micro nutrients; this competitively excluding potential problem causing microbes through this physical mode of action. (Kucukersan et al., 2002).
