Özet

The topic of this paper is the evaluation of the earliest origions of methodology of tafsir/commantary. We will make our evalution of two main sources, al-Cami and Kitab Fahm al-Qoran wa Ma'anih, written by Abd Allah b. Wahb (d. 812) and al-Muhasibi (d. 857). In our aticle we are going to take up entellectual life of these prominent persons and their way of thought. The aim of this article is to put forward the mantality differences between two persons and their understanding of the Qoran, background of Islamic thought, and their contributions to the methodology of tafsir.
