Özet

Microfluidic technology has become a transformative tool in disease modeling and developmental biology, providing precise control over the simulation of physiological microenvironments. This chapter delves into the use of microfluidic systems for disease modeling, emphasizing their capacity to regulate fluid dynamics, chemical gradients, and mechanical forces with high accuracy. These advanced capabilities have reshaped our approach to understanding cell behavior and tissue development by enabling the creation of more representative in vitro models that closely replicate in vivo conditions. Through the manipulation of cellular microstructures and extracellular matrix components, microfluidics has significantly advanced tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Furthermore, its ability to support high-throughput analysis facilitates the exploration of multiple variables simultaneously, which is essential for investigating the complex factors influencing development and disease. We also explore how integrating microfluidics with other innovative techniques can further drive advancements in biomedical research and therapeutic strategies.
