Abstract

Fluoroquinolones-associated tendinopathy most commonly occur in the Achilles tendon but many other sites of tendon injuries have been reported. We present the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings in a patient with partial rupture of tibialis anterior tendon associated with ciprofloxacin therapy and emphasize the diagnostic value of MRI. As far as we know, this site of tendon rupture associated with ciprofloxacin therapy has never been previously described. © 2003 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
