Özet

This study aims to understand the market-entry strategies that techno-enterprises employ, utilizing digital transformation technologies to thrive in the new technologies sector. The research question of this study is: “What are the success factors for techno-enterprises?” New digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, defence, health, space, security, software, SaaS, gaming, fintech, advanced electronic technologies, retail and e-commerce are expected to be the prominent areas of the future in Türkiye and these new technologies can aid start-ups to be effortlessly reached out and distribute their services virtually the whole international markets via online tools. Additionally, personalized medicine, digital health solutions, and initiatives in the field of health and biotechnology stand out and have had a large impact on the rise of start-ups. Digital payment and blockchain technologies are especially developing in the financial sector. We conducted nine techno-enterprises located at Ankara, Balıkesir, Adana and Kastamonu. Data collection involved semi structured interviews, review and analysis of company documents, websites and direct observation of the management operations and processes. The thematic analysis of the data revealed two themes: evolution of a techno-entrepreneur’s entry modes and marketing strategies. E-commerce and marketing strategies has provided a way to reach international markets and reduce costs. The results of this study would contribute to techno-entrepreneur’s survivability as well as exchanging successful experience among new entrepreneurs. For entrepreneurs who plan to start a business, this study would contribute understanding the skills for initiating a startup.
