VLF is a fast and inexpensive reconnaissance survey tool that can be used to display lateral resistivity variations along a profile line or a map view constructed from several profiles. Interpretation remains basically qualitative because of the limited frequency band. The alternative definition of apparent resistivity by Basokur is shown to be an efficient tool to enhance the VLF data, resulting in better identification of conductive orebodies.
