In this study, metasurface impact on a single horn antenna evaluated in terms of gain, directivity, far field, bandwidth and operating frequencies. Hexagon shaped split ring resonator is scaled and used for comparison of the single horn and metasurface loaded horn. For this purpose, a single horn at a frequency of 10GHz proposed. The hexagon shaped split ring resonator is designed to have periodic boundary conditions and after performing effective permittivity and permeability retrievals via a version of the Nicholson-Ross-Weir (NRW) algorithm that is improved by implementing the Kramers-Kronig relationship an finite array has been proposed for practical use. Metasurface loaded horn antenna achieved to have better bandwidth value around 10GHz and satisfy better gain and directivity values.
