Abstract

Shoemaking, a means of satisfying one of the basic needs of human beings for thousands of years, is still carried on as a handcraft by craftsmen in Kahramanmaraş. In this study, the raw materials, production techniques, and tools employed in the production of various shoe types in Kahramanmaraş, where shoes are still produced with great manual effort, have been examined.
