In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the 20 Salmonella Infantis strains isolated from broiler chicken hutches (base, dust, environment, rodent traps, feed and water samples) by Multilocus Sequence Typing (MLST). Six different serovars were used to exhibit the evolutionary relationship between different sequence types (ST) and serotypes on phylogenetic tree. All S. Infantis strains were found as ST32 as a result of MLST analysis performed on 7 housekeeping genes belonging to each subspecies and ST32 was thought to be the dominant sequence type for S. Infantis in Turkey. The other serotypes; S. Enteritidis, S. Typhimurium, S. Hadar, S. Agona, S. Mbandaka and S. Coeln was found to be ST11, ST19, ST33, ST13, ST413 and ST2015, respectively. In this study, S. Agona, S. Mbandaka and S. Coeln serotypes were typed with the MLST for the first time in Turkey. Serotype information of ST2015 was registered to the MLST database for S. Coeln serotype.
