Abstract

The pollen morphology of Centaurea triumfettii All., groups A, B and C, the classification of which presents some difficulties, were examined comparatively under light- and electron microscopes. Each type has been described palynologically. The objective was to find a palynological solution for the taxonomical problems of the species. Group C was distinguished from A and B on the basis of pollen shape, size and its distinct costae.
