Özet

What is decoloniality in economics? What steps should we take to address the issue and solve the problem? One way to examine coloniality in economics is to view it as a form of questionable research practice and study the subject as part of the problem of scientific ethics in economics. Scientific ethics is about moral practices and accepted norms in a research area, such as integrity, social and epistemic responsibility, and accountability. In this introduction, we claim that coloniality in economics is a questionable research practice that has resulted in the marginalisation of alternative perspectives in economics. Marginalisation of alternative perspectives in economics is a questionable research practice because it violates the accepted norms of scientific practice. By examining coloniality as a questionable research practice, we can better understand how it operates and begin to develop strategies to address the ethical issues associated with it.
