Özet

In this study, it has been aimed to study the self-esteem of married adolescents according to their pregnancy situation and education level. The study has been conducted upon 360 married adolescents, 180 of them being pregnant adolescents and 180 of them being non-pregnant. Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) has been used in the study as a data collection tool while Personal Information Forms have been used to understand the socio-demographic qualities of the individuals. Data have been evaluated with Kruskal Wallis test and Mann-Whitney U test. At the end of the study it has been understood that there has been no significant difference between pregnant and non-pregnant adolescents in terms of self-esteem and self-esteem has increased with the education level. In accordance with the findings acquired as a result of the research, suggestions have been brought for the prevention of early marriages and the rise of self-esteem.
