Özet
The relations between neotectonics and geomorphological evolution of Turkey are treated with special reference to erosional surfaces and their correlated sediments. Anatolia was built up from N to S during the palaeotectonic phases of the Mesozoic to middle Miocene. Four main tectonic units with two additional ophiolitic suture zones, corresponding to four main geomorphic belts have been developed: N Anatolian mountains, the Pontides; Median plateaus, the Anatolides; Taurus mountains, the Taurides; SE plateaus, the Border folds.-from English summary
