Özet

User education is defined as a whole effort to provide the required knowledge and skills to users by librarians so that users could utilize from library resources and services. No matter what type of libraries, user education is an important part of library activities and/or services. University libraries are also responsible to provide user education in addition to the other services and, user education programs are developed and performed according to their aims by using advanced technologies to meet the users' needs. The increase of information resources through the electronic means, the possibility of remote access to the library resources and the introduction of Web 2.0 technologies have become compelling factors for facilitating Web-based user education programs.
