Özet

In this research the effect of N-Serve applied to the soil along with NH4-N on the nitrification of ammonium and nitrogen loss from the soils was studied. The soil used in the experiment contained 24.29% CaCO3 and had a pH of 8.1. Nitrogen was given to the soil at 150 ppm level as ammonium sulphate with and without N-Serve. N-Serve application was at 3 mg/kg soil level. The results showed that N-Serve was effective in retarding the nitrification but increased the nitrogen loss from the soil. The nitrification rate was 85.43% in the treatments which received N-Serve whereas it was 11.05% in N-Serve applied pots four weeks after nitrogen application. Nitrogen losses from the soil under experimental conditions were found to be 18 to 24% higher in the N-Serve applied pots depending on the time passed after nitrogen application. -from English summary
