Abstract

This experiment was carried out to determine the-effects of different energy and protein levels in laying quails diets on egg production and quality. The experiment was conducted with 320 Japanese quails, 7 weeks of age and continued for 12 weeks. Quails were randomized into 20 cages each containing 16 birds and trial was carried out with 4 experimental groups. Energy/protein (kcal/kg, metabolisable energy/crude protein, %) of group 1, 2, 3 and 4 were respectively 2657/16.68, 2654/19.75, 3010/16.45 and 2990/19.50.
