Amaç: Arteria profunda brachii ve nervus radialis,
triangular interval’dan geçen önemli anatomik yapılardır. Triangular interval
interval’in kenarları, arteria profunda brachii ve nervus radialis’in çapları
ve musculus teres major’un insertio bölgesine uzaklığı dijital kaliper ile ölçüldü
ve milimetre olarak kaydedildi.
Bulgular: Triangular interval’in musculus teres major kenarı
12,43±4,47 mm, os humerus kenarı 52,76±16,8 mm, musculus triceps brachii caput
longum kenarı 54,6±16,97 mm olarak ölçüldü. Arteria profunda brachii’nin çapı
3,28±1,39 mm, nervus radialis’nin çapı 5,76±1,07 mm ve musculus teres major’a
Sonuç: Triangular interval’in kenar uzunlukları ve
içinden geçen yapıların musculus teres major’a uzaklığı yeni tanımlanan
triangular interval sendrom’un tanısını kolaylaştırma, cerrahide ve özellikle
arter-sinir komşuluğu nedeniyle nörotizasyonda kullanımı açısından önemlidir.
Objective: The profunda brachii artery and radial nerve are
essential anatomical structures passing through the triangular
interval. Reporting the case about the triangular interval syndrome emphasizes the importance of this space. The aim of this
study is the relation between the triangular interval and the contents of this interval.
Methods: On ten formalin-fixed cadavers, the boundaries of
triangular interval, the diameters of profunda brachii artery
and radial nerve, and the distance between these two anatomical structures and the insertion of teres major were measured in
millimeter using a digital caliper.
Results: Teres major posteriorly, the long head of triceps
medially and the humerus laterally composed the borders of
triangular interval and measured 12.43±4.47 mm, 54.6±16.97
mm and 52.76±16.8 mm respectively. The diameter of profunda brachii artery was 3.28±1.39 mm. The diameter of radial
nerve was 5.76±1.07 mm. The distances of profunda brachii
artery and radial nerve to the insertion of teres major were
7.14±7.56 mm and 19.98±21.41 mm. It is observed that posterior circumflex humeral artery with profunda brachii artery
passed through the triangular interval in one case.
Conclusion: The boundaries of the triangular interval and the
distances between the anatomical structures passing through
this interval and teres major are important to ease the diagnosis of recently identified triangular interval syndrome, and to
benefit from branches of radial nerve for neurotization or
branches of profunda brachii artery for flap procedures.
