Abstract

In this paper, we address a motion estimation algorithm in order to detect moving object in video sequences with the minimum error. The method is based on SLIDE (Sub-space line detection) algorithm in which it was modified and applied to real-world video sequences in order to define motion direction and track video sequences. The resulting fast algorithm enables to track nonlinear motions while preserving the topology. Finally, we demonstrate the utility of this approach and its advantages over existing motion estimation methods on a number of video sequences.
