Özet

Pneumocephalus is the presence of gas or air in the cranium. The most common causes are traumatic brain injuries and post-surgical occurrance. We hereby report a case of diffuse pneumocephalus in a 51-year-old man who presented with lethargy, disorientation, respiratory distress and abdominal tenderness resulting from colon carcinoma. This case is the second report of colon cancer causing diffuse pneumocephalus. With this case report, we hope to render critical care physicians to be more careful in determining pneumocephalus.
