Abstract

A new series of flavonyl-3'-sulphonylurea derivatives (1-7) was prepared by reaction of several isocyanates with flavone-3'-sulpholamide (III). The prepared compounds were tested for their insulinotropic activities in INS-I cells. Compounds 1 and 4 were able to increase insulin release in the presence of 8.3 mM glucose pat least at the higher concentrations used.
