Abstract

© 1990 IEEE.A method of optimal model reference control is developed in the continuous-time form in such, a way that the responses of the large scale system and the reduced order model follow closely that of the reference model. The controller also regulates the outputs so that they track the reference step input, even in the presence of constant disturbances. It is shown that the simple model chosen approximates the plant quite well, and the reduction obtained in the computation time and simplicity of the resulting controller axe main advantages of the proposed method.
