Abstract

The pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) fruits, which are ripering (green streaked with red), have been inoculated with several biotic elidtors (Phytophthora capsici L., Monilinia fructigena (Aderh ex. Ruhl) Honey. Alternaria alternata (Fr.) Keissler, Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis. Bacillus sphaericus. Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato). Then, the changing of capsidiol amounts in fruit tissues and diffusates within 1-5 days have been investigated by using GLC method. After wards, the results obtained were compared. The highest accumulation of capsidiol was found in both fruit tissue and collected diffusate for A. alternats elicitor. The effects of the non pathogenic three bacteria were different, and a lesser amount of capsidiol was found when compared to fungi For the Pseudomonas s. pv. tomato elicitor, the highest amount of capsidiol was found in both fruit tissue and collected diffusates.
