Although there are technological solutions adopted by the institutions to enable information security, they are the people themselves who use them. Bearing this in mind, the aim of this study is to develop an "information security awareness scale" for teachers which is intended to determine their level of information security awareness. In the first phase of the study, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was conducted with 316 teachers and it was determined that the scale consists of 48 items under 3 sub dimensions ("Mobile devices, Privacy and Communication: MPC", "Attacks and Threats: AT" and "General Security: GS"). In the second phase of the study, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), which was conducted with 200 teachers, revealed three-factor structure. Cronbach's Alpha reliability coefficient is.980 for the entire scale; and MPC:.967, AT:.969 and GS:.926, respectively for each sub dimension. Consequently, a valid and reliable scale that can be used to determine the level of information security awareness of teachers has been developed.
