In this study, the consumption levels of the consumers and factors affecting the consumption preferences of the fish were examined with CHAID analysis in Central district of Cankiri province. The survey was conducted with 156 consumers determined by method of proportional sampling. It was found that 51,9% of consumers in terms of balanced and healty diet and 34,0% of consumers in terms of taste consume fish, moreover, 91,7% consumers prefer sea fish, 51,9% consumers prefer to buy fish from supermarket and 46,2% consumers prefer to consume fry fish. According to the analysis results, it was determined that dependent variables of level of education, household income, marital status and place of purchase are the most important factors which affecting fish consumption.
