Abstract

Uniting under the Islamic concept of the hidden and the obvious, shiite sects of Nusayri and Nizarid İsmaillians were freed from the Fatimid Authority, spread propagandas in the Syrian region, carried out power struggle and had to take side in the political events. The present article takes a close look at Nusayri and Nizarid İsmailians' struggles against Seljuks, Eyyubis, Mongols, Mamluks and Crusadors and sheds light on the effects that they made on each other's beliefs.
