Özet

The purpose of this study is to express the experiences and determine the problems and expectations of primary school teachers working at hospital schools. The participants of the study were 17 teachers working at eight different hospital schools in Ankara. The data were gathered through semi-structured interviews and were analyzed through content analysis. The findings indicated that teachers reported poor physical conditions, the nature of attending students leading to making the curricula flexible, teachers who work at those hospitals need to be more patient and well-trained, and they needed in-service training on becoming a hospital school teacher.
