Tracheobronchiomegaly (The Mounier Kuhn syndrome) is a very rare clinicoradiological entity and the majority of the patients are men. Chronic respiratory tract infections are always associated with the disease. Bronchiectasis may also be seen as an additional pathology. Plain roentgenograms of the chest are suggestive if unusual width of the tracheal shadow is clearly visible. Bronchographic studies are essential for definite diagnosis. Surgical therapy is not possible and the aim of the treatment is directed against underlying chronic pulmonary infections. (Journal received: 16 Sept 1975.)
