Abstract

Temperature dependences of the coherent length xi(T), London penetration depth lambda(T), critical velocity of Cooper pair v(c)(T), critical current density j(c)(T) and Ginzburg-Landau (GL) parameter kappa(T) = lambda(T)/xi(T) for the bulk superconducting magnesium diboride, MgB2, are studied in the vicinity of T-c by using a two-band GL theory. The results of the calculations are in good agreement with experimental data for bulk MgB2. Comparison of obtained results with single-band GL theory are presented. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science B.V.
