Amaç: Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi (ÖSYM) tara- fından uygulanan Diş Hekimliği Uzmanlık Eğitimi Giriş Sınavı, temel ve klinik bilim sorular ından oluşan uzmanlık eğitimi almak isteyen adayların girdikleri s ınavdır. 120 sorudan olu şan sınavın 10 sorusu periodontoloji branşından sorulmaktadır. Bu çal ışmanın amacı, gü- nümüze kadar yap ılmış sınavların Periodontoloji alan ında sorulmuş sorularını, temel kabul edilen referans kitaplardaki içeri ğe göre ana- liz etmek ve Periodontoloji Uzmanlık Eğitimi Çekirdek Müfredatına göre dağılımını değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmada, 16 sınava ait 158 adet periodontoloji sorusu de ğerlendirilmiştir. So- rular ÖSYMresmî internet sitesinden elde edilmiştir. Soruların dağı- lımı referans kaynak kitaba ve Periodontoloji Çekirdek Müfredat ına göre belirlenmiştir. Analizler için tanımlayıcı matematiksel yüzdelik hesaplama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Değerlendirilen 158 so- runun %59,9’u Temel Periodontoloji’den, %34,1’i Klinik Periodon- toloji’den ve %6,0’s ı Oral İmplantoloji’den sorulduğu görülmüştür. Temel periodontoloji bölümde en çok sorgulanan konu ba şlıkları “Gingival Patolojiler”, “Temel Bilgiler” ve “Kanıtlar”, “Etiyoloji” ve “Patogenez” olmuştur. Bu bölümünde en az sorgulanan konu başlığı- nın “oklüzyon” oldu ğu görülmüştür. Sınav soruları sınıflandırıldı- ğında, Periodontoloji Çekirdek Müfredat ı’na göre belirlenen Girişimsel Yetkinlik ve Klinik Yetkinlik Düzeyleri’nde adayın edin- mesi istenen düzeylere göre soru dağılımı yapıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç: Soru dağılımı çekirdek müfredatta belirlenen kriterlere göre temel kabul edilen konular üzerinde yo ğunlaşmıştır. Bu retrospektif analiz, sınava girecek adaylara yol göstermesi açısından yararlı kabul edilebilir.
Objective: The Dentistry Specialization Training En- trance Examination, administered by Measurement, Selection and Place- ment Center, is an exam for candidates who want to receive specialty training consisting of basic and clinical science questions. The exam consists of 120 questions, 10 of which are from the periodontology branch. Aim of this study was to analyze questions asked in the field of Periodontology in the exam so far, according to contents of the reference books, and to evaluate their distribution according to Core Curriculum of Periodontology Specialty Training determined by the Medical Spe- cialization Board Curriculum Creation and Standard Setting System. Material and Methods: 158 periodontology questions from 16 exams were evaluated. Distribution of questions was determined according to the reference book and Periodontology Core Curriculum. Descriptive mathematical percentage calculation method was used for the analysis. Results: Of the 158 questions evaluated, 59.9% were from Basic Peri- odontology, 34.1% from Clinical Periodontology and 6.0% from Oral Implantology. The most frequently asked topics in basic periodontology section were “Gingival Pathologies”, “Fundamentals and Essential Evi- dence”, “Etiology and Pathogenesis”. It was observed that the least ques- tioned topic in this section was “occlusion”. When the questions were classified, it was determined that the questions were distributed accord- ing to the levels that candidate was required to acquire in Interventional Competence and Clinical Competence Levels determined according to the Core Curriculum. Conclusion: As a result, the distribution of ques- tions is concentrated on topics that are considered essential according to the criteria set by the Core Curriculum. This retrospective analysis can be considered useful in guiding the candidates who will take the exam.
